What are my options on a low GMAT

Dear all ,
I am a credit analyst with almost 4 years of experience from egypt .i would like to apply for MSF program in USA however I'm practicing the GMat and i can see i wont score in it i can bearly get a 500 i also understand that to land a job in the US i need a school with a good rep can someone suggest schools that accept low Gmat and have a good rep and cost around $30k for an international student .i know it may sound too good to be true but i wont hurt to ask . My GPA is 3.23

Are there some programs that will accept you with “barely a 500”? I’m sure there are some programs out there. There are a lot of U.S. programs that offer a master’s in finance. Will it be a good, reputable program? Likely not. Most of even the mediocre/average MSF programs seem to have an average GMAT score in the high-500s to mid-600s, with ranges from the low-mid 500s to the high-mid 700s. For example, Baruch’s MS programs have an average score of 590 with an 80% range of 510 to 690. So is there someone there with a sub-500 score? Probably, but they probably also had an otherwise completely outstanding application. Your GPA is also mediocre, so unless your work experience is simply extraordinary you wouldn’t be a competitive applicant.

As for $30K, you might look to some regional public universities or some of the cheaper publics. Baruch College of the CUNY system has a decently-reputed business school and their out of state tuition is around $10K a year. Living expenses will probably cost you around $25K though, so that is a bit over your budget. The University of Wyoming has an MSF program, and their OOS tuition is about $436/credit. If you figure about 15 credits per year (for their 30-credit MSF), that’s about $6540 for one year, which is dirt cheap. Living in Wyoming is probably also dirt cheap. The University of Iowa also has an MBA in finance that seems pretty inexpensive. Of course, these two places will require a 500+ GMAT score, preferably one in the mid-600s.
