I want to become an Airforce Pilot but my grades recently havent been good. My last report card I got a 2.9 GPA but before that I usually got around a 2.2 GPA. My last report card was 3rd quater of Junior year(I know it's a little late in the game). The reason my grades jumped is because I got recently got diagnosed with ADD and got treatment for it. I am looking at maybe Arizona State University and Bridgewater State. I stil haven't taken the SATs yet(I am taking them in May and in June) and I currently attend a pretty good high school. What do you think are my chances in getting in? What are my chances in getting qualified for the ROTC airforce program?

I want to study Publicity but I don't not where... is to expensive !

@gjulio

I don't know what you are talking about and is completely irrevelent to this thread. Please make your own thread

ADD is often a disqualifier. Go to U.S. Air Force ROTC - College Scholarships and Careers to make sure you can qualify.

I wonder if they'll let you become a pilot if you have ADD. Pilot selection is incredibly rigorous because so many people want to be pilots. I, for example, am excluded because my vision isn't naturally 20-20. Although I'm going to have surgery to correct it back up (god I hate contacts!), they have to make the cut somewhere, and eyesight is one of the criteria they use. I'm just speculating, but ADD seems like it'd be a pretty big red flag if having had corrective vision surgery is also a problem. Sorry to rain on your dreams man... maybe it's still possible!

(Another interesting tidbit: military special operations rates of attrition are higher than the reject rates at all top colleges in the US. Only 3% of the people who attempt to become Navy SEALs actually make it through the program, and that's a program where nobody is cut for being worse than anyone else... people are only cut if they don't meet certain basic requirements of voluntarily leave. It's amazing to consider how tough it must be to get into some of these programs!)

According to this:

Personality, conduct, and behavior disorders

"Under the new standards, a history of ADD/ADHD is disqualifying if the applicant has been on medication within the past 12 months, and/or if the applicant shows any significant impulsivity or inattention traits. Applicants who have been off medication for longer than 12 months and do not show any significant impulsivity or inattention during MEPS processing may now be accepted for enlistment."

So say if I just stopped taking my prescription senior year of college, I could still sign up to the AirForce... So what are the other requirements to become an Airforce Pilot? Do I have to be in the AFROTC program? What kind of grades do I have to get in College?

Khaki, pilots/navigators do not need 20/20 uncorrected.
the official requirements are
Vision (Distant, Uncorrected-Corrected) 20/70-20/20 pilots 20/200-20/20 Navs
Vision (Near, U-C) 20/30-20/20 pilots 20/40-20/20 Navs

Also, DO NOT get eye surgery until it has been approved by the military. It can be a disqualification otherwise.
