If I plan to go into the field of law, is it required for me to take a pre-law course in my school?
I'm mostly looking into liberal arts schools, and as far as my list goes, the majority lacks the pre-law program.

Also, if I happen to be accepted in one of the colleges that offers pre-law program, are the courses that I can take restricted strictly to the prerequisite courses and some other complementary courses under the pre-law branch? Or can I major/minor/double major or whatever in the subjects of my high interest just like the other students who are not enrolled in pre-preprofessional programs?

Pre-law has no set requirements. You don’t need specific classes for law school like you need for med school. Pre-law or pre-med is not a major (usually, there may be exceptions- don’t want to blanket). You can take whatever you want outside the “program”. You choose whatever major you want for both med and law school, but for med school there are prerequisite courses to admission.

What im trying to say is there’s no “pre-law” program really. You’d have to show me what school you’re looking at that has this. You can major in whatever you want- no program can restrict you from doing other majors.
