I'm still a HS freshman and I always read about people with lots of awards and stuff for their applications.
What should I keep an eye out for? Particular awards/competitions that I can keep an eye out for and apply?
What about summer programs?

I'm just to get started as early as possible.
I'll chance you or w.e. just leave a link!

Thanks!

The best thing to do is to scan this board and the big Financial Aid forum for threads dealing with scholarships that we seniors are currently waiting to hear the results from. Write down the names of these major scholarships in a Word Document, and check out the websites (if there are any) to see what the requirements are. I did this last year as a junior and have actually entered a lot this year that I wouldn’t have known existed if it weren’t for CC.

Good job starting early! Wish I had my stuff together as a freshman like you seem to. I’d try for tass/tasp for something truly different to do over the summer.

Lol thanks, the seniors/jr.s at my school often times don’t even seem on the same page as I already am!
I’m going to do JSA at Princeton this year so hopefully can do something with that. But thanks guys, I guess I’ll just have to keep a lookout!

So what grade are you really in? You said you’re a freshman here, then a sophomore on another board, and a junior or senior (can’t remember) elsewhere. What’s the deal?

Guess I’m having an identitiy crisis!
In most cases I guess I’m just trying to get better advice. As u can see, I’m kinda involved with this.
Tho I don’t see the need to more or less embarass me on my thread rather than just PMing me

i don’t see the need to lie about what grade you’re in :P
