What are some general tips and tricks for the SAT?

Like anything that can help me increase my score. Anything really.

What do you need improvement on? Is it math, CR, or writing?

Vocab is a big component of the SAT. If you haven’t already, you could try going through Direct Hits.

Practice. That is all.

fairy_dreams: anything would be good, everyone can always improve

bibb14: I know practice, but I mean more specific like little things I can do to get the answer to something

Pay attention to each question, the answer’s always in the passage.

I second practice, practice, practice.

I second Direct Hits.

It is probably too late to get smarter ancestors.

Seriously, practice and a review course will help you.

There is nothing that I can say in one sentence that will boost your score by 100 points. Just practice, and if you’re seriously unmotivated, consider a private tutor or a course (STAY AWAY FROM LARGE PREP COMPANIES)
