<p>A lot of books out there “for grad school admissions” are slightly outdated and try to gear toward grad admissions in general-- often making most of the book not applicable to your specific field. My advice is to try online resources and talking to current grad students instead.</p>

<p>Certainly there are books out there offering advice on this but for the most up to date and field specific advice, talk to your PI or advisor. They will be able to give you a lot more specific information about your field, new programs, academic powerhouses etc</p>

<p>It’s specifically geared towards sciences and has a lot of really good information (mostly geared towards once you’re admitted, but a little application information). Some things I’ve read really surprised me and it has given me a lot of things to look out for once I’m in a program (hopefully).</p>
