Hey I'm in search for some good FWS for next semester. Currently I'm in an ENGL writing seminar and it is so much work and the essays are graded very strictly. I'm looking for some writing seminars where the teachers are pretty chill and relaxed and where it is definitely possible to at least get a B. Any writing seminars in mind?

ASCR 1811 - women writing in south africa

i’m taking it now…

too ez…no work :-D

you can also check the registrar’s median grades list when the seminar brochure comes out on monday.

I’m currently taking FREN 1103 - Intro to French Short Fiction…there’s a good amount of reading (half of which is a ridiculously dull literary theory book, and half of which are pretty interesting French short stories), but doing well on essays is a breeze. The first grade you receive is never final, and he tells you exactly what changes you need to make in order to get a B+/A- or an A, or even an A+. If you’re willing to put in the effort to revise your stuff, there’s no reason you shouldn’t do well.

Also recognize that some of these classes are curved.

I was in an ENGL 2000 level FWS where we were graded hard on our contribution to group discussion and our essays and analyses (i.e. Almost no one got As on mid-semester assignments). But when the final grades came out, the median grade was an A/A-?

Some professors just don’t like giving out all As for mid-semester grades because it blunts your understanding of your progress.
