anyone want to help out?

Are you a California resident? If not, which state are you from? How much can your family afford (if anything)?

To respond effectively, people would need to know more about your interests as well as your stats. Are you looking in a particular region? Big, small school? If you are thinking pre-med, then you want the highest undergrad gpa you can. Financial considerations – do you need financial aid or, if not likely to qualify for much financial aid, do you need schools where you would likely get merit aid? Assuming pre-med, then you probably want to minimize undergrad loans to have greatest flexibility for med school.

Great gpa, but put it in context – does your school rank? The ACT score ss fine for plenty of schools but not for others. As a parent, I am a little concerned when students say they are bringing their test scores up – no offense, but my son fully intended to bring his ACT up several points, but did not (similarly, I swear I will lose 10 lbs, but somehow, never do). Intentions are great, but we cannot predict what will actually happen.

So, more detail, and people will be able to offer more guidance.

Agreed with @Midwestmomofboys give us more about what you are looking for and what kind of financial ability you have. Your ACT is great for many, MANY, good schools. But be more specific about what you are searching for and the financial side of things.

UC-Davis and Santa Barbara are matches.
UC-Irvine, Riverside, santa cruz, CSULB, CSU-Fullerton are safety’s.
UC-Berkeley, LA and San Diego are reaches.

Well I live in California and I am upper middle class. I do intend to go to medical school. As far as my ACT score, I received a 33 in reading and high 20’s in other sections. but I performed horribly on science due to terrible timing. So I hope with more practice I can get it up. I am overall just looking for a stimulating intellectual experience. I can function in both big and small schools. Do you guys have any out of state suggestions?

Why not try taking SAT?

Upper Middle Class means you probably won’t get much FA. What are your parents willing to pay for school? And how does Afghan+Greek=URM?
