What are the AP exams i should take

I really need help in deciding what AP tests should i take ? I will be applying for a computer science major at Stanford . I am an upcoming junior (international) and my school doesnt offer AP courses but I’ll self study and take the exam in another school ! I am planning to take 7 APs in Calculus BC, Physics C , Computer Science , Psychology , Macroeconomics, Biology and Chemistry ! Some friend of mine told me that its not reasonable to take the Chemistry and Biology exam if youre applying to a Computer Science major another question is can i take another AP exams after i have applied to Stanford in my senior year ?

Look up Stanford’s AP policies and which tests they accept. If going for CS, then APCS and Calc BC do not seem like a bad idea.

This is a very aggressive plan. D took 5 AP classes and 7 AP tests this year. It was a very difficult academic workload. I can’t imagine doing something like this on top of your normal classes. Consider tackling several AP’s and then some dual-enrollment at a local college

@Wje9164be Anything to get into Stanford buddy , whatever it takes but do you think its a good thing just dont worry about my classes i’ll take care of them the question is should i go for them ??

If you’re doing it to get into Stanford, you’re doing it in vain.

@skieurope in vain ?? whys that

@Ahmedrezq AP scores factor little to none in admissions; they are usually only used for credit or placement. Stanford doesn’t give credit for Bio, Psychology, or either economics exam.

Exactly what @MITer94 said.

@MITer94 How can i know what does Stanford credit for ? pls could you guys help I am in a desperate need of help ?

@Ahmedrezq Google is your best friend.

so basically any test that Stanford doesnt offer credit for wont be regarded ? am i right ?

Yes, read the site carefully.

For admissions, regardless of whether or not Stanford offers credit for the specific test, the mere fact that you took/plan to take an AP test little impact on the decision to admit or not.

If you want to study an AP subject because you are madly in love with the topic, by all means do so. If you are viewing it as a means of improving your application, you are wasting your time.

@skieurope That was really helpful Thanks

@MITer94 Thank you so much

Take APES! Lol
