What are the best majors at Northeastern ... what is it most known for?

My D got into NE honors explore program. She’s undecided but pretty sure she isn’t headed into a STEM career. What are some of the better programs/majors at NU? Is it known for anything other than co-ops?

I mean… Northeastern still has strong programs outside of STEM and perks outside of co-op, but those are obviously the things it’s “most known” for. I don’t really understand your question.

In general - CS, Engineering, Business, Bio/Chem/Physics, Nursing, Pharmacy, Political Science, Criminal Justice. As mentioned, what majors a school is “known for” doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of other fine programs.

@novafan1225 To clarify my question… Is there something it is known for? Like Syracuse’s journalism school is tops, Tulane is known for premed students, etc. I know some of this is subjective, but I was curious if anyone knew for sure…I can research and see what ranking lists it makes. Just wondered if anyone could weigh in.

I don’t think it is really known for anything other than co-op - that is its signature program. The best ranking list it makes is #1 career services in the country.

I would say that it is known for its co-op program more so than specific majors. As a cell bio major at NU, there are definitely plenty of STEM majors, though there is a big portion of students who are part of the college of arts and design. I would say that there are plenty of majors available to her that aren’t stem.
