People always seem to take Math II and Physics, but what about the others? Is English and History hard?
Also, is it easier to get 800 on SAT subject tests than SAT general?

i think in most sat IIs is the curve more lenient than in the sat I. i am an international and have never taken any comparable classes to the american ones, but i am pretty confident that i am gonna get somewhere near a 800 on world history and latin (at least the practice tests predicted that result :P). i think it really depends on what you are interested in and what ap classes you´ve taken. someone who has never had any ap classes in a subject might find them hard when taking the tests- also i think there are subjects in which selfstudying is easier- history for example. you can really have no idea about world history but with a good review book… it´s probably harder self studying a language

These threads are always useless. The term “easy” is very subjective and greatly varies from person to person. If you’re asking about the curve, then that’s different. But just take subject tests that you think you are strong in. Don’t take a test because some random person on CC says the test is a piece of cake.

Maths 2 and Physics have easy curves if you know the material. Literature and the languages are more unforgiving. Everything else falls in the middle.

But as to which ones YOU should take, I agree with DCK7. Play to your strengths, and give a few diagnostic tests to see where you stand (if you’re aiming for 750+, aim for high six hundreds in your diagnostic if you have time to prep up). For example, most people on these boards would have told me Lit’s a toughie and Physics is easier, but if I’d given physics I know I wouldn’t have got more than a 500. I got 800 on Lit, though, one of the ‘tougher’ ones. So it’s all up to you and your strengths.
