what are the most prestigious SAT optionals?

was just curious, there are so many names that I don't recognize.
tnx

Probably the most selective SAT-optional colleges are Bowdoin, Bates, Mount Holyoke, and Holy Cross. Once you move a tier lower than that in selectivity, there are almost as many LACs that are SAT-optional as not, particularly in the Northeast. There are lots of good options out there for just about anyone who doesn't think their standardized test scores reflect their academic ability.

Thank you. Is Colgate or Lehigh n that category? I haven't check for any updates in that list

Gettysburg is another fine LAC that recently made SAT submissions optional

Not Colgate..
Middlebury is.. but you just need to replace the SATs with something else..

lehigh isn't either

Bowdoin and Holy Cross

Dickinson is scores-optional, and while many think that Dickinson is pretty low-tier, it's actually on par with if not better than many Northeast LACs with lower acceptance rates.

Definitely consider Dickinson if you plan on studying International Relations or International Business/Management.

Why is this on the Colgate forum?! Colgate is not SAT optional.

Colgate requires your SAT scores to be sent.. or maybe just the ACT with Writing.

Mount Holyoke and Bates. And they are both fabulous, beautiful schools. I don't know if Bowdoin is SAT optional. I don't think Bowdoin is that nice in terms of personality though. Whatever floats you boat, I guess.

St. Lawrence (SLU) is another excellent LAC that is now SAT optional
