I have a 3.98 weighted gpa and my rank is 26 out of 168 at a very competitive private school. I am a member of the student council, nhs, and a retreat team at my school (it is Catholic). I will have taken five ap classes by the time I graduate. I am a co-captain of the golf team and would like to play in college. I would fit in very well on Bowdoin's DIII team. I have been taking music lessons since I was 8 years old and continue to play music and write music as well. I also have worked at a pizza shop since my Freshman year. I do everything from dishes to cook and make pizzas. In the summer I have worked there for up to 30 hours a week. So what are my chances at Bowdoin?

Edit: Forgot my SATS, 730 Reading, 660 Writing, 660 Math for a 2050. Subject tests:620 Math 1, 670 Bio. Also AP scores- 4 on Bio, 3 on Euro History

it’ll likely be a reach, in large part because - you’re not in the top 10% of your class and your standardized test scores (including your APs) fall below the median at bowdoin. it’s worth a shot but where you’re from may make a difference. if you’re from new england, excluding maine, bowdoin seems unlikely. perhaps you could be recruited as an athlete? can you take the SATs again and score solidly above 700s in each section? it’s really just a matter of studying.

@artsygirl: I have been playing golf since freshman year and playing music since I was little. Also student council and nhs have just been since junior year. Work since I was 15 and legal to work, so a couple years. @pb2002 I live in Massachusetts and my SAT scores are honestly as high as I can get them. I did as well as I could. The 730 was a slight surprise.
