WHat are the pros and cons for the university of texas vs. texas a&m university?

I have been accepted to both universities, but I am into the engineering school at a&m and the arts and science school at UT. I very stuck and was wondering which would be a better school to attend if i would like to go to med school later on.

Were you accepted into engineering at UT? It’s actually a higher ranking program at UT, and it’s possible to do a transfer into Engineering if you’re at UT. Both are good schools, but A&M has a conservative, small-town/family feel, but UT Austin is a lot bigger, has a city feel, etc. If you want to go to medical school, though, you’ll be fine at either school. Check the matriculation rates for medical school (there must some kind of arrangement between UT Houston & UT Austin…UTMB is a strong medical school.) There’s multiple medical schools in Texas, Baylor College of Medicine most notably. Good luck on your decision!

I was not accepted into engineering at UT. BUt i was at a&m and baylor.
