What are the departments that are well known among students at your college as being the best? (also, where do you go?)

For us, it's Politics, Neuroscience, English, Creative Writing and Art History, at Oberlin College.

engineering, medicine... there's actually a lot it's good for outside math&science, including drama, english, law... the grad school here is pretty good... undergrad is not bad, but i don't think it's that great either.

Chemistry, engineering, English, economics, math, physics, and business are our strongest and most highly regarded.

Iowa State

Engineering and other hard sciences for sure, the entire College of Agriculture (specifically the pre-vet/animal science and Ag Education depts), Business programs are okay but nothing special, the Kinesiology Dept is also one of the strongest in the midwest for public schools, regularly sending Exercise Science majors to the top med, physical therapy, and chiropractic schools in the country, and the Athletic Training students annually exceed the national average for certification passing rates and scores.

Virginia Tech: Engineering, Architecture, and Animal Science are the big three that stick out in my mind. I think Interior Design is the hardest to get in to though.

Chemical, Petroleum, and Mining Engineering... enginering in general, though.
Medicine
Ecology
Geology

Those are the one's that I know of... U of Alberta.

Physics so I heard. But I haven't landed down there yet.

United States Merchant Marine Academy:

Transportation and Engineering...

wait... other than a small humanities department, that's all we have!

Auburn-- engineering (esp. wireless and electrical), public relations, architecture (one of the top 5 programs in the country), graphic design, spanish, and music.

Engineering, Engineering Technology, Aviation, and Hospitality/Tourism Management

Ohio State.

I know that Political Science and Engineering are very strong... linguistics and history too, I think. African American and African studies offers more African languages than any other US school, so there's that as well.

criminology, math, computer science, physics, and maybe engineering

a778999 hey i have some questions for you.

How is U Maryland? Do people generally get along with each other, and is the neighborhood around it okay?

Nursing, Education & Criminal Justice.

Also, those 3 programs are the only 3 which are graduate programs at my school as well.

Iowa State University

I second Cards4life's post lol no need to repeat everything.

Premed/BME, PubPol.
