CPSLO and SJSU seem to come up often in Computer Engineering major lists.

Note that SJSU has both a Computer Science major and a similar Software Engineering major. The latter seems to be little known, based on it requiring lower GPAs / scores for admission at both the freshman and transfer levels for 2011.

SJSU’s location is a great place to be in terms of on-campus recruiting by computer companies.

Computer Science

Stanford

UC Berkeley

Caltech

Harvey Mudd, UCLA, Cal Poly SLO are also good too

“Cal States” would include Cal Poly SLO, but not Stanford, Berkeley, Caltech, Harvey Mudd, or UCLA.

Cal Poly SLO and Pomona are definitely up there.

so far I know that Cal Poly Pomona/SLO are the best.

Is there anything else besides CSU San Jose?like one more level down? so I can make this top 4 maybe? thanks

top four?! i would say the number four can be fullerton or longbeach, but either of those are not well know for engineering.

I would consider San Diego State for computer science as well. It’s about 20 mins away from UC San Diego which is a top 20, hell top 15 computer school. They have research opportunities that you can take or collaborate with the UC. A 10 min trolley ride will get you to Qualcomm. Tuition is cheap around 2 grand a semester.

And the girls…oh man the girls I see walking around that school… I’ve seen girls in miniskirts at 5 oclock in the afternoon buying alcohol at 7-11 like clockwork lol.

They even have a masters certificate that you can specifically get in mobile technology after your BS.
