What are you doing over the summer?

It's almost 2013, and I know I should be planning what I'm going to do next summer (pre-sophomore year, btw). Do you guys have anything lined up so far?

I don’t know yet.

Going to college

2 weeks at a history work and learning camp in Germany
1-2 weeks in France to see the Tour de France and to visit the places my gr-gr-grandfather fought in WWI
A 4 day debate camp
2 weeks work experience (compulsory) probably in a museum
up to 2 weeks making my prom dress, which is after school finishes

And then off to my new boarding school, so excited!

Not sure yet (it is too early for us to know where we have been accepted), the possibilities are…

 • Paid internship at a golf nonprofit
 • TA at local glass center
 • Summer science program (I am applying to like five)
 • Dual enrollment

Debate camp

Cornell summer program

Taking Calculus at a CC

Finding a job or internship

Hopefully enjoying my last summer before college with friends and family, maybe taking an art class at a CC to work on skills.

Sent from my Desire HD using CC

Shopping for college!
Enjoying my last summer w/ my girls
Maybe ill take a drive to canada, we may take a road trip!

And in august ill be going to pace university

Depending if my school chooses me or not, I might go to the HOBY leadership conference. I plan to study more for the SAT and ACT this summer. I might apply for a few summer jobs, so hopefully I get one. Mostly, though, I just want to relax and take a break from school.

I will be doing the HOBY program and then working as a camp counselor for the rest of the summer.

playing league of legends

^this 10char

Job hunting. First summer without homework and whatnot!

Sleeping lol. And getting ready for college I guess.

Looking for a job to make some cash before college. Shopping for college. Taking advantage of the time I have left in my hometown with friends & family.

research internship at hopkins bayview

Not sure. Might go on a road trip with my friend. If that falls through then i’ll prob. get a job or internship and get ready for college.

I will be taking a few courses at the local community college to get some prerequisites and graduation requirements out of the way and to clear space in my schedule for my electives, haha. I might also go on a few road trips, either solo or with a few friends, as I’ll have my license by then. I’d like to get a job, but it seems unlikely. And then, of course, there’s band camp…

Not much. It’s my last summer before college, I’m going to relax.

pre soph year:

-2 weeks: do some internship work at my dad’s lab in china and help him around the lab (fudan university)

 • volunteer hours at a local summer program, basically a tutor for math/science/ESL for a couple of hours each day
 • volunteer at the state house each week for one day or weekly volunteer internship at science museum
 • rest of the summer: lab research studying skin cancer in a harvard med lab
 • study for classes, specifically math to possibly place out of pre-calc
 • study for SAT & AP Chinese
 • sleeping early and waking up at 9:00.
 • maybe open my own online business
