Best thing about Princeton is the way they teach. Very unique, most university's (and yes, that includes all the other Ivies) DO NOT teach that way. I love it!

Never been to the campus, little far away for my budget...

"Considering that P'tonians hate Quakers I am surprised to NOT see Penn listed as a safety school here."

I'm quaker...

Since when did Princetonians hate Quakers?

My safeties are: Uni Melbourne, Monash (in Aus) and Imperial College in the UK

you do realize that the quaker is penn's mascot? by hating quakers, the previous poster meant hating penn (although the hate runs almost entirely in one direction, from pennsylvania to new jersey - except in re: basketball).

I need to find a new church ... ;)

Don't do that...I like quakers...

hehe. I was joking. I would never give up my quaker-ness ... although what actually constitutes a quaker is quite up for debate!

lol, trueness...

My safeties are Penn State, Pitt, and The College of New Jersey. I really like Penn State's honors college, and I would be really happy there if Princeton rejected me!

you all sure are arrogant - listing upenn, duke, georgetown, amherst as safeties - i bet a number of you will get rejection letters from these schools...

Shoot for the sun and you might hit a star,
shoot for a star and you might hit a cloud,
shoot for a cloud and you might hit a mountain,
shoot for a mountain and you might hit a roof,
shoot for a roof and you'll fall in the dirt.

Shoot for Princeton with UPenn and Duke as your safeties, and you might end up with no college to go to at all.

There are safties and safties. {ie. plan B and plan C) Most people here are listing plan B - plan C doesn't have such close deadlines.

jhu and cmu

got a deferred entry for econ at the university of warwick in england (rank no. 2 in UK for econ). so applying to only reach schools in the U.S this year :p

I'm thinking Carnegie-Mellon for my safety. Is that reasonable?

University of Rochester and SUNY-Buffalo (I'm applying to the honors program)

I haven't compiled the final list though :)

haha funny..nice
