To seniors: How did you survive senior year? If you had a ton of activities and hard courses, how did you manage? Please post your thoughts!

Senior year was definitely the toughest year of high school. I think what got me through was knowing all my hard work would pay off in the end. By April, I’d hopefully be into the school of my dreams. It’s really about balancing everything - taking time to work hard but also taking some time to yourself to hang out with friends or watch your favorite TV show. You really have to push yourself harder than ever, but it’s so worth it. You’ll not only get into a great college, but you’ll become a better, smarter, and more hard-working person.

Managing your time is really important. Tell yourself - okay, this weekend I’m going to get “this, this, and this” done. And start your college apps early, so you can take your time to make them great. I remember one relaxing Saturday night, I just sat down and wrote my college essay. I took my time, and just had fun with it. Try to turn your seemingly tedious “work” into something enjoyable and worthwhile. good luck, and don’t be too worried, we all survived, and I’m sure you will too!

Best advice for seniors: Get your applications done EARLY! As much as this advice is handed down to EVERY single generation, it sadly is generally not heeded.
