I, for one, don't particularly care. I don't have any real fascination with my post count, haha.

Although does this mean that HSLife now supports posts of any size and flavor? Or will the less "serious" ones still be moved to the cafe...

Could we have our own community thread now? I don't recognize any of the users that post in the cafe's one... :/

Wait! Crap!
How long has this been in place?!

Threads and posts on this topic are not allowed, as they are discussions of moderation. Please do not start any further such threads, they will be removed.

To clarify: as Roger_Dooley noted,

So, we've decided to not count posts in HS Life toward individual post counts, which are a measure of a member's contributions to the overall community. Posts in the CC Cafe and Parents Cafe likewise don't count. This isn't to discourage use of these forums, but rather to ensure that if a new member encounters a member with hundreds of posts, he/she knows those posts have been on topics relevant to college admissions, search, etc.

You may continue to post here as before, but your posts here will not count towards your site-wide post-count, just as posts in the Cafe forums do not count. This ensures that a member's post count reflects their substantive college-admissions-related posts rather than off-topic posts.
