These are my dream schools

Well I’m a senior and I know where I’m going (unfortunately not one of the schools on the list), but these were, are, and always will be my dream schools:

UVA

William and Mary

UNC Chapel Hill

Yale

BC

Georgetown

Wake Forest

Villanova

Michigan

Northwestern

RPI
Cooper Union
Cornell
UMBC
RIT

1.) Vassar
2.) Carleton
3.) Haverford
4.) Oberlin
5.) Brown

New Mexico Tech/Colorado School of Mines ( low tuition, pretty good salary after graduation )

NYU POLY ( Very expensive, yet close and located in NY with big possibilities )

Stevens Tech ( same as nyu poly )

Virginia Tech, illinois Tech, Missouri Tech, NJIT ( Pretty good school with average Wtuition/salary uppn graduation )

Manhattan College

Already in college, but if I were to go back again and had better stats (I was a fairly average student) the list would look something like…

1.) St. John’s College (Annapolis)
1.) St. John’s College (Santa Fe)
3.) University of Chicago
4.) Temple University
5.) Boston University
6.) New York University
7.) Columbia University
8.) University of Rochester
9.) University of Washington
10.) Northeastern University

No particular ranking after the tie for 1st (I just can’t pick between the two locations!) I really did a cruddy job with my college search when I was in high school and ended up stuck somewhere which (had a made a list like this back in high school) would have been somewhere between number 15 and 20. Looking at this list and thinking back I think I could have been accepted to St. John’s, Temple, and maybe Boston, U of R. Others would have been varying degrees of reaching.

Mine are:
- Amherst
- Stanford
- Dartmouth
- Middlebury
- Vassar
- UC Berkeley
- UCLA
- NYU
- Swarthmore
- Trinity College
Yeah my choices and the order are quite weird…

My top schools were:
- USC (rejected )
- UCLA (which where I’ll be attending this fall )
- UC Berkeley (rejected )
- UOP [University of the Pacific]
- UC Irvine

If I had better stats and EC’s I would have applied to:
6) Stanford
7) Swarthmore
8) Cornell
9) University of Chicago
10) Brown

In no particular order:

-Wash U
-Northwestern
-Carnegie Mellon
-Johns Hopkins
-University of Michigan – Ann Arbor
-Tufts
-University of Minnesota – Twin Cities
-Yale
-University of Chicago
-University of Texas – Austin
