^^We had to read that book for English class. It was pretty solid. (though harder to appreciate it when you have to read like ten chapters of it a day.)

That book is powerful! Esp Jefferson's diary and the last chapter-ish. I read that for optional reading in AP Lit last year. I thought it was better than Hardy and Austen. heh. :]

I'm reading Gideon, a book that won the Pulitzer Prize. I got it as my graduation gift from a teacher - I wonder what he meant by it. =p

I'm reading " El amor en los tiempos del colera" ( I guess in english its love in the times of cholera, although the title could be translated differently) by Gabriel garcia marquez... Once I finish this I'll either start 100 years of solitude or pick up some short stories or poems by Mario Benedetti ( I'm also still trying to get a hold of a couple of plays by Dario Fo).

East of Eden

oh, man, i feel sorry for all the people who are reading "how to read lit like a professor". Oh man, i struggled through that one. the whole thing is just total bs.

Oh yeah ^^ and don't waste your time on East of Eden. It's incredibly disappointing... (sorry...)

Anyway, now reading Wuthering Heights

HS.

I'm reading Margaret Atwood's "The Handmaid's Tale" and it's amazing! As an incoming freshman last fall at Georgetown, I had to read "The Blind Assassin" and she came to the school to discuss the book and since then I've been amazed by this woman - she's f-ing awesome! And her books are definitely a must read.

Actualy, I really have enjoyed "How to Read Lit Like a Professor." Loved it, acutally.

I finished "The Gatekeepers" last night, too. It's about a season of adcom at a small liberal arts college. Don't think it was that worthwhile. I'll be selling my copy on Amazon ASAP.

I think my next target it "The Poisonwood Bible."

Besides Harry Potter?

I just started Running With Scissors. It is probably the weirdest thing I've ever read.

Freaking Huck Finn. Stupid summer work
High school

"Then Known World" by Edward Jones. it's the required summer reading for my school and he'll be coming to campus during orientation week.

A Confederacy of Dunces - John Kennedy Toole.
