Biology!!!!!!!!!

Les Miserables

.. has anybody else read this? Thoughts?
I'm liking it so far.

Physics

actual name, I swear. tero771 and others, you are lucky for being able to do some nonschool reading.

The Great Gatsby for school
Lord of the Rings for fun

Les Miserables

I love that book. there's a very dry spell when they're describing Waterloo (I think) so if you hate military descriptions you may find yourself bored. of course, I read this like 4 years ago and certaintly way before I got into military history so it may be better than that.

but the rest of it is still very vivid in my head. I'd list my favorite parts but I'd rather not spoil the book for you, :)

The Bell Jar- Slyvia Plath

a good dose of depression

just finished pride & prejudice for school

on the side:
a little more than half way through with Fast Food Nation
and less than a hundred pages left of Cryptonomicon

Good Going guys, let us also contribute some thoughts about the books we are reading! Positive feedback for what others are reading! The literary discussions are sure to bubble enthusiasm.

:)

Pride and Prejudice! I love that book!
also the BBC adaptation of that is the best book adaptation I have ever seen. Mr. Collins and Mrs. Bennet are even more winceworthy in a fun way.

and after you ge done with Fast Food nation read The Jungle. a lot has changed since then.

not.

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead

one of the funniest and wittiest books i've ever read. it's stuck in every line.

Example I remember:
Player: My goodness no, over your dead body.
Guil: How am I supposed to take that?
Player: Lying down. i*

Les Miserables is definitely one of my favorite books ever, but I must say that the part where Victor Hugo describes the Paris sewers is quite a bit longer than necessary.
