What can I do to improve my chances for top schools?

I am a junior right now and my weighted gpa is a low 4.1 and I'm racked 14th in my class as a result of 4 Bs/B+s last year :/ and I got a B in math freshman year so 5 b's... I'm guessing my unweighted is a 3.6 but I'm not sure.. I have taken nearly all honors or advanced courses since freshman year and I have already taken APLAC as a sophomore and got a 4. I haven't taken the sat's so I don't know my score but I am aiming for a 2200 and above.. I am also VP for FBLA community service, features editor of our school newspaper, and I formed a human rights club at our school. I am thinking of trying out for writing competitions but I don't know any that I can realistically get into.. any suggestions? What are some things I can work on to improve my application for college and my chances at a top school? I know raising my gpa and sat score are my number one priority but what else is there? Also is there still a chance for me to make it into a good school???

Junior course load: APCALC, APES,APUSH, and APGOV, Honors english, art class <= requirement:/ i think junior year coarse load is a little weak but would a great sat score, test scores, and some awards make up for it?
