What can I do to show interest and improve my chances?

I already asked for an interview and they (like every other college) told me that they didn't have alumni in my area. I sent my supplement in during October, so I can't add to it. I have discovered many more things that I like about Wellesley though, and I want to go there. How do I let them know that I really care about getting in?

Also, I sent my SAT scores (2090 altogether) and my Act scores (25). I'm afraid that I will not get in because of my horrible ACT scores. I had no choice but to send them because I couldn't arrange subject tests. I really need help improving my chances.

By the way, here's some lectures that I am super excited about listening to: Madeleine Korbel Albright Institute for Global Affairs at Wellesley College

If you want to improve your chances of acceptance, I suggest you look at other Wellesley threads, such as the one started by the townie, for ideas. There’s a lot of great info available.

Also, keep in mind that Wellesley seems to accept people with a wide variety of test scores. The other people who were accepted from my daughter’s school in years past had high grades but not terribly good test scores.

If I asked for an interview, but there are no alums in my area, does that put me at a disadvantage?

They couldn’t possibly hold it against you! I definitely wouldn’t worry about it.

One thing you might suggest to the Admissions Office would be for them to set up interviews over Skype. It would be a great solution for people in your situation.
