Basically traveling, living abroad and having to use your mind [intelligence] is career I am searching for.

How about working for the State Department?

Applying to the State Department is like applying to college.

International Consulting maybe.

I’m curious about this as well. Bump!

bump .

Photography.
Journalism.

Assuming you have a knack for languages, become an interpreter. Learn 2-3 or more languages well, go to translator’s school for graduate school. Monterrey, CA comes to mind. The state department will pay for it for certain languages.

Major in anthropology, archaeology, learn several living languages, apply for interships abroad, look at teaching English post BA employment, various volunteer programs…

International business is right for you. As you mentioned, “traveling, living abroad and having to use your mind.” International business has it all.

Thanks for all your replies. Anthropology and international business seem appealing to me.

international consulting sounds about right
