What chance do I have of admission at UNC Chapel Hill?

Hey guys, I am going to be applying to colleges in these next couple of weeks. UNC Chapel Hill is a big college on my list. My question is what are my chances of getting admitted?

My Stats:
ACT- 30 and 33 Superscore- 33
SAT- 1950 and 2070 Superscore- 2120
Rank: 6 of 710 105.32 GPA weighted on a 100-point scale.

Extracurricular activities and volunteering:
Marching Band 9,10,11,12
Spanish Club VP two years in a row 10,11,12
NHS 11,12
NTHS 11,12
HOSA 9,10,11,12
Volunteering for religious organization 100+ hours
Volunteering at a nonprofit medical clinic 50+ hours
Youth group (religious organization) 9,10 Treasurer

Awards and Distinctions:
Academic Excellence 9,11
Academic Excellence in AP Chemistry 11
AP Scholar with Distinction
National Merit Commended Scholar (predicted)
Volunteer service award at religious organization.

Can you justify the cost of going to UNC? You would get automatic admission to UT and could probably get into any major you wanted. Plus you would be paying in state tuition, it would be so much cheaper. I think you’ll get in, just not sure if it’s a smart decision financially.

@danfer91 Yes I agree with what you’re saying. I am under automatic admission at UT Austin. I also know that financially that is my best option. More than likely I will end up there, but I just want to explore my options.

I’d say you have a good chance. You’re above their 75th percentile for ACT scores (well, your superscore is) and your class rank/GPA is great. However, UNC OOS admission is basically like ivy-league admissions, so it’s kinda a crapshoot. Good luck!
