what chances do i have to transfer?

hi, i'm currently a commucity college student, and thinking to transfer at next year. so i'm looking for schools that i can transfer! but i just have no information about MT programs... i'm desperate for your help!

here's my situation... first, i want to transfer as junior year, but it doesn't matter if i have to start over from shophomore year(but not freshman) as long as it has good program. second, i want it to be on city, but don't care about tuition (since i'm an international student, all schools tuition is expensive to me anyway). third, my strong point is voice, and weak point is dancing....omg. lastly, i don't prefer classical style... except that, anything is fine.

does anyone knows good schools for me? some of my friends recommanded BoCo and guildford in UK. i'm happy to hear those schools info, too. thanks in advance! :)

There are probably NO schools that will let you transfer as a Junior. You might be able to go in as a sophomore if the school you end up going to is not a conservatory. But keep an eye out and maybe even call some schools up. CC is a great resource, so use it often!

Good luck

I was recently accepted to boco w/ expectations of entering with sophomore standing. This year, they changed that rule and now all transfers enter in with freshman standing. This is why I decided not to go. Good luck with everything!

Unless your audition is so amazing, and I mean that you could be cast the lead on Broadway at that moment while winning a Tony award, there's no way you will ever get junior standing. Very people even get sophomore standing at these schools and that is even when they transfer from other conservatories.

They want to start you as a freshman because their programs are designed for a full four years of coursework and that freshman year is important because its where they break you of your habits so that by sophomore year they can start to mold you through their own techniques, training and philosophy.

Also if you study voice nearly anywhere you WILL be learning to sing classical. You won't have a strong voice if you don't start by learning how to sing proper and legit repertoire. You gotta crawl before you can walk.

Honestly, by the sound of your post, I don't think that you should be looking into conservatories like BoCo, I think you'd be better suited to a non-audition BA program.

i think you misunderstood. I'm not saying I can't sing classical style. surely i learned it before, and if it's program, that's fine. i just don't prefer that.
other than that, thanks for your reply. :)

spellinggggg please
