What classes to take as a CS major?

<p>Hi, I’m a transfer student and I’ve just been admitted to Davis as a CS major (letters and science) and I was wondering about the courses i’ll be taking my first quarter there. Where can I find the listing of courses that I would need to take as a junior level transfer? I want to know which courses i’ll be taking beforehand so I can look over them over the summer before I transfer there.</p>

<p>To take into consideration:
There are some classes, such as discrete math, that I haven’t taken. There are also some CS courses my CC didn’t offer. Would I have to take that once I transfer there?</p>

<p>Also, if I wanted to retake data structures (my teacher didn’t teach it that well and this is an important class), can I retake it at Davis? </p>

<p>You’d have to take ECS 20 if you haven’t already taken a discrete math class, yes. That goes for anything that’s a major requirement that you didn’t take at your CC.</p>

<p>As far as ECS 60 (data structures), as far as I’m aware you can’t retake it if you’ve already received a C- or better in an equivalent course. What you can do is sit in on an ECS 60 class as a refresher; I took it this past spring and knew a few people doing that.</p>
