I'm trying not to get obsessed anywhere as well. I don't want any severe disappointments. I really like DC, so my obsession is with DC, not necessarily GWU or American.

I'd answer, but what if one of the admissions officers from one of the other colleges just happens to be reading this thread? :o

Pepperdine

Dry campus

California

Mountains

Beach

Business Administration (5-year) program

25 minutes from Santa Monica

Small

Private

Georgetown School of Foreign Service!

Washington DC

Incredible Profs (I mean, Madeleine Albright?!?)

Beautiful campus, gorgeous old Gregorian buildings

Name recognition, (I know, I know...)

p.s. gumby3, I totally got that reference, awesome show!

YALE
-gorgeous campus
-master's tea
-DS
-kickass residential college system
-it's Yale
-and if i want to be shallow...anderson cooper <33 and edward norton, among other amazing people, are alumni
and UChicago
besides its superb academics and the plethora of coffee shops, i loved its quirky atmosphere

Johns Hopkins
-Campus (I love that the campus is in the city, but is separate from it)
-Baltimore (Nice medium sized city)
-Location (Far, yet close to home)
-Size (Not too big or too small)
-Student opportunities (From research to student clubs)
-People (Diverse)
-Atmosphere (Just love it)

Don't want to get my hopes up too high when I apply next year.

Notre Dame
To me, the school seems perfect. Campus-beautiful, size-moderate, and everything.
Honestly, there is nowhere else but Notre Dame.

Penn Penn Penn Penn Penn Penn Penn Penn Penn.

-"Social Ivy"
-Wharton guys :P
-Urban setting
-Great English and Creative Writing programs
-Gorgeous campus... beautiful architecture
-Were pretty generous with the financial aid even though I'm not at all from a low-income family!
-Ohhh I guess the Ivy League reputation doesn't hurt either but that wasn't a huge factor in my decision

What can I say?...Penn rocks my socks. ;)

Swarthmore was my 2nd choice. One of the (many) reasons was because Swatties could take courses at Penn haha. I was going to apply ED II to Swat if Penn rejected me.

Georgetown University.

Great location in the center of the political world in DC. Reputation surpassed by only the Ivies. My only worry is that I'll never get in.

I purposefully did not look at Georgetown so I would not get attached. I'd almost never get in!

Oh how I love Brown/Pomona/Yale.

Initially, it was NYU.

Now it's USC. I give much love to American, and Northwestern.

I’m only a sophmore, but I am in love with Macalester!
-great city (cool music, generally liberal)
-really focused on internationalism/ great international studies program!
-small enough that the classes would be good for discussion
-about an hour away from home, so just far enough
-you get access to UMinn library too
-really cool location with a bunch of coffee shops nearby
-politically active students
-my big brother will be going to UMinn for grad school then!
