I am a senior in high school and want to major in chemistry engineering. I would prefer a college in Pennsylvania beacuse its where I live or other states near PA. I have a 95 out of 100GPA in high school, but i only score 1600 on my SAT. I am taking it again. in October the 11th. I really want hear about what u guys think. Thx

Try using the College Confidential SuperMatch search.

For your stats and intended major, among Pennsylvania institutions, Drexel is a strong match.
However, Drexel is very expensive (> $60K/year). How much can your family afford? If cost is a concern (as it should be for most families), run Drexel’s online Net Price Calculator.

If you can raise your scores, you’d be more competitive for relatively affordable in-state public schools with ChemE programs.

What’s your Math score? From your post, I suspect that English is not your native language. If that is the case, some colleges might be more forgiving about your Critical Reading and Writing scores.

You might also look at some test optional schools. http://www.fairtest.org/university/optional/state

PSU and Pitt will be less expensive than Drexel, probably; Drexel might offer 15K, but that’s a drop in the bucket. Even UMCP might be cheaper than Drexel, and so much better academically.

Appreciated for all your comments. I hope i can do better on SAT this time.
