hmm...i'd rather not say, as it may incriminate me.

here i've met maybe two people who are interesting, and i've met many, many people in total. you must know people at different branches than me. either that or we have different standards, which frankly is just fine. i suppose i'm looking for a school whose student body is comprised of people whose personalities and interests fall under my definition of "interesting" (it's actually quite wide and allows for enormous amounts of variance). swarthmore is most definitely my first choice, so basically, that means i enjoy the company of quirky, perhaps somewhat eccentric people who are incredibly ambitious, probably have multiple passions and intense academic interests, are socially conscientious, curious, and are more likely to stay up till 4 AM writing a paper they're absolutely fascinated by but know nonetheless that they will probably get a B on due to their school's stringent anti-grade inflation rigor than to stay up till 4 AM drinking.

so if you actually read that very long sentence, it summarizes well the type of person that I HAVEN'T met at PSU branch campus X. and i know lots of people at main, but they're more or less of the same type--they just love to party even MORE, and are perhaps a bit naturally smarter. ultimately, they, too, would probably also like to just get the heck out college and use their Generic Business Degree to sit in a box and fill out papers all day.'

i hope i don't come across as a snob; i'm really not one. i love people, but i'm sick of my mediocre school.

actually, when i was a high school senior and didn't know what the heck i was doing, i visited psu abington. it had a really pretty campus and the student body seemed a heck of a lot more diverse (both in interests and ethnicity), and a lot more active and interested in the school part of college in general than any of the other several PSU campuses i visited. i initially planned to transfer to abington for my sophomore year until i decided i need a completely different experience. i certainly can't blame you for befriending abington students...

lalaland, are currently at bryn mawr or looking to transfer there?

if you're currently there, coming from someone who's been kind of obsessed with investigating and visiting both swarthmore and bryn mawr, it seems to me that the tri-co system offers a cornucopia of events, activities, clubs, and organizations that would inevitably provide a social life for a student intellectually-based enough to be admitted to bryn mawr. plus philly is a mere twenty minutes away. how can you be bored??

I go to Samford, will be attending Montevallo for spring and then hopefully heading to Belmont in Fall '08. I'm transferring because the core requirements here suck as does the music department, which is what I want to pursue. Also the Baptist influence/mindset is way too heavy here.

I know I posted on here that I go to Susquehanna U. in PA but I just wanted to update that I got accepted to The College of New Jersey and will be attending there in the spring. It was a bit of a reach for me so I'm absolutely euphoric right now.

Yeah for sure. A girl I went to high school was supposed to go there for Music Biz--31 ACT, 4.0, choir, etc. I think she had a weird situation and decided to go to school in Ohio to be near her boyfriend. Sucks for her, because Belmont is amazing for anything music.

Oh wow what a bummer for her, although there are some pretty good music schools in Ohio (Cleveland, Oberlin, etc). Ohio doesn't trump Nashville, though.

Leaving George Mason University and going to William and Mary. Just not being challenged here, nor am I particularly enjoying myself. Go home every weekend and William and Mary is much closer. Not to mention it is a better school by far, so that's where I'll be next semester. For certain.

Currently a soph at Univ of Wyoming. After a blown shoulder and the end of my swimming career, I'm tired of the snow and ready to head back to the motherland of CALIFORNIA!! Not to mention finally pulled a GPA worth talking about so it's time to apply to my HS dream schools! Hoping for Cal Poly or UC Davis for Agricultural Education!!

go to UNC Chapel Hill looking to realistically transfer to Michigan Ann Arbor straight into the 3 year BBA program at Ross.

Will also apply to Wharton, maybe Brown, Columbia, Cornell, UChicago

Transferring because....UNC is a great school and Chapel Hill is one heel of a place, but I'm just looking to get into a better business school (Ross, Wharton) and more prestigious Uni in general!
