So i am a rising Junior that goes to a top-tier high school. I have had poor academic success in the past, I am in special ed, and I am very bad at English. My schedule is:

Trig
Spanish II
English 11
US History (CP)
Video Film
Physics
Academic Success (Special Ed)

As you may know, I am not enrolled in any AP Classes. As said above, I am not good at English. Should I take AP Lang? My school has around 20 AP Classes. Unlike the other students who are not in special ed, I am only allowed to take up to 6 classes.

I am doing Cross Country & Track for extracurricular and some more clubs to boose my EC's.

I have a learning disorder (ADHD) and i get frustrated very easily.

Anyways, I heard Junior Year is the most important year to prepare for college. Am i doing a bad job preparing for college, and how should I improve?

Are there any colleges that I may get into?

If you can afford going to college in the Midwest, perhaps UND/USD (South Dakota) would be good fits at 1650+/23+, with UMO at 1100+ (CR+M)/24+.

Go talk to your counselor about schools with good support for LD’s. Have you looked at Cal State San Marcos. It is close to you so you might get the support you need from home. It is a smaller school (for a Cal State) with smaller classes so you also might get more personal attention. Even if you aren’t in love with it, you might consider starting out there and then transferring once you have adapted to college.

@takeitallin: Thank you for your advice, I appreciate it. However, I am not keen on attending CSUSM because I want to be in a setting outside of San Diego. I have lived here all my life.

Is my new plan good?

I plan to attend Palomar College before transferring to UCLA, UCI, or UCB to study either Mathematics or Humanities.
