Regarding Williams one way to answer your question of how your stats compare to those of accepted students is to look at Naviance data from your high school. It’s difficult to compare GPAs from different schools. The 25 percentile SAT math score for Williams accepted students is 660 (The 75 percentile is 780.) While applying ED would definitely increase your admissions chances the stats for ED and RD accepted stats are typically similar if not identical.
If you find Wabash too liberal because guys support gay marriage, then you won’t stand Williams.
If Williams is okay for you, then you should find Wabash comfortably conservative.
But frankly, if you’re against gay marriage and not being part of a very small minority is important to you, you’re better off at a religious school - Wofford, Furman, Pepperdine, Calvin, BYU, UDallas, Wheaton (IL) would probably have a majority of people against gay marriage (although some would likely be in favor, they’d be a minority), perhaps Wake Forest, Baylor?
Most of the guys at Hampden-Sydney don’t support gay marriage.
^Yes but don’t you want more than the suggestion of Hampden-Sydney?
(Beside religious objections, there are psychological reasons why many guys at HSC don’t support gay marriage, which would make it likely to be similar at Wabash - pretty impressive if it isn’t the case there since it’s really going against the fundamental creed and workings of the all-male youth.)
On most co-ed campuses, the psychological reasons won’t be there, so that the religious objection is going to be your substitute, if it’s a litmus test for you.
Gosh, OP, I’m surprised mom2collegekids allowed you to get away with dissing Bama. You seem a tad snooty.
True, though. compared to Washingon&Lee or Williams, Bama itself isn’t terrific nor is it small.
However, considering the caliber of the schools OP is looking at, I was thinking of Alabama’s excellent and well-known Honors College, which would certainly show someone’s ignorance if dissed, but I don’t think OP dissed that.:
those stats are not up to Williams level - check the data
