Anyone know of any colleges that takes care of the expenses to tour college if not local?
I believe University of South Florida will. https://www.usf.edu/admissions/freshmen/admissions-scholarships/national-merit-scholarship/index.aspx
^I’m surprised any college does. There are about 15,000 NMSFs. What if they all decide to take a subsidized vacation in south Florida?
@disneygirl2020 Arizona State University (ASU) has a great offer.
When my son visited last year, ASU reimbursed his plane ticket up to a set amount (in line with the cheapest option available - pretty close to what we paid) within a month of taking the trip, and hosted him for one night in the dorm (bedding and towel were provided).
See https://barretthonors.asu.edu/admissions/student-experience-day/ for details.
Note: the light rail to go from PHX Sky Harbor airport to ASU only cost $2 each way.
I believe that UCF does but only during days when they are doing their NMF presentations. Check with Luke van Blaricom for details
Who did your son stay with in the dorm? a current student or another visitor?
