Hello
I am graduating in 2016.
I had already kind of started looking at colleges but honestly speaking, I really am not sure where to apply and what colleges I should consider my safe schools. I just wanted to get the basic idea on the chances I have in getting in colleges.
I have an Academic GPA 4.1000
Cal Grant GPA 3.8824
Eligibility GPA 4.0909
Unweighted GPA 3.9333.
For all 3 years, I swam in YMCA Rancho Swim Team.
I did speech and debate club in 9th grade and got 6th place in a team deabate competition at local level.
I also volunteered in public library during the summer. I also volunteered in vbs once during 9th grade.
In junior year, I stated volunteering in an association that helps out disabled kids. I am also planning to volunteer in YMCA my senior year. I am alson planning to start a club to help out seniors who are lonley in senior housing my senior year.
I am an international student but went to middle and high school in California. My sophomore year did not go so well because I had some personal issues and flunked all my classes. But, I made them all up in the second half of my sophomore year and my junior year. I took 3 Ap classes so far. I am planning to take 3 more in my senior year. I took SAT twice, got 2220 first time and my score actually dropped the second time, 2190. If i superscore, I get 2240. I am planning to take ACT this fall. I am also planning to take SAT SUBJECT TEST in U.S. HISTORY, math and korean with listening. I want to major in accounting or elementary education or special education. I want to go to 4 year colleges, not community colleges.
What colleges should I apply to?
Sorry, I’m not an expert in colleges. But if the moderators don’t move this question for you, you should repost this question in the “College Search and Selection” forum. This is more for people who need help with their college applications…
