I am wondering which colleges (especially ivies and top lacs) actually track an applicant's interaction with the college (phone calls, emails, letters, tours/visits, etc.). Does more contact with a college increase your chances of getting in?

only at a few certain ones (such as Tufts), most don't keep track of that stuff. Someone told me Tufts has a checklist of the thingws you did

I don't think Ivies really bother with tracking since they get so many applicants. I know that HYP do not track anything.

WashU tracks though.

If you download the apps for some schools (or the Common App supplements), there's a section where you can check off contacts you've had with the school. Tufts has "Sources that influenced your decision to apply to Tufts" and you can check off campus tour, college fair, web site, etc. Wellesley and Wheaton (MA) have this in their supplements, too. It's not the same as tracking interest, but if you've visited or whatever it can't hurt to check off.

i see that paranoia is getting to everyone...someone said princeton got in trouble for hacking into yale's system and tracking cross admits

whether this is true or not....ure all paranoid
