Hello, I’m currently a junior in high school and thinking about where I’d like to apply for college. I’m still not sure what exactly I want to pursue, but one idea that I’ve been thinking about lately has been physical therapy. Also, if possible I would like to own my own practice. I’ve been looking at colleges that have a high credentials in both physical therapy and business and duke seems to be the best, but I’d like to hear some more insight. As for my grades etc, I’m taking 4 aps (comp sci, physics, English language, and apush), the rest are all honors classes. My average is around 98.5 and I’m a very driven person to achieve success. Also I’m taking the sat in march and aiming to receive above a 1500
(currently around 1250, but improving greatly). As for extracurriculars, I’m involved in NHS, mathletes, indoor and outdoor track, football, and soup kitchen service. Replys would be appreciated, thank you for your time.
Try the SuperMatch tool on the left panel of this page. Good luck.
Also, have the “money talk” with your parents. Affordability is as much of a limiting factor as good/poor grades. Good luck.
Physical Therapy is a grad degree. You need to focus on finding an undergrad that will work and you can afford.
Talk to your parents about how much they’ll pay each year.
