What courses do you take that make you stand out?

I have yet to take any classes out of the ordinary...but I'm on a club called academic games. We compete with other school playing games like equations, onsets (set theory), Lingustics, Propaganda, and wff (it was invented at uvm for law students) Hopefully it will be turned into a class sometime soon :)

what nerds... lol, calculus by junior year is like "OMG, you're so smart!!!".... only like 5 or 6 of we juniors are taking it...

Did you think this forum was made of normal people? I am surprised you have not figured that out by now.

Biology and/or chemistry with Princeton undergrads.

eigenvectors can be applied to calc, but to find them you don't need to know calc

One of the few perks of living in New Jersey: access to world-class universities, and expensive suburban living in the New York area so that one can access New York and its perks.
And yes, can't forget the Atlantic City/Cape May area, with its beaches, although I don't know if they are any good.

Honors English.

PE

I didn't pass though, so I get to take it again.

;)

Why is everyone so damn good at math?

Intermediate Greek

Attic, Ionic, Doric, Aeolic, Koine, and Homeric dialects

any History (social studies if u would like to call it) classes, foreign language, and psychology, sociology, all the ology's

i'm trying to get organic chemistry offered at my school! we have a great chem teacher that i want to hang out with for another year

Hm... does failing Beginning Guitar count as interesting? Hah. But seriously. Classes I took for required PE credits? Bowling, scuba, and team sports. "Team sports" means the school's too lazy to actually have a PE program, so they give you credit for playing sports (in my case, rugby) at other schools.

Otherwise... by the time I graduate I'll have taken pretty much any class with the word 'law' in it (nearly all through online courses/community college, of course, since my school sucks). And one of my English teachers has been bugging me to take Marxism and Literature.

a dozen people in my school take multivariable calculus (junior year) and some should finish linear by senior year. So it's not all that uncommon. I think it's cool to take bagpipe lessons.

I'm taking Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra and Differential Equations, and Number Theory.

Umm...okay lies.

What grade are you in?

Actually, there are some who have done that-I personally know seven kids (juniors and seniors) who will take or already taking such advanced courses. Since college courses are one semester if one person has two free periods they can take four classes. numberone therefore could take MV Calc and Linear Algebra first semester, then Number Theory and Differential Equations second semester, which is in line with the prerequisites taken during the first. If he is a senior then that schedule would make perfect sense assuming he skipped a year of math somewhere else during his 11 years of education beforehand.

Next year I am taking Biomedical Ethics (was going to take Epidemiology, but decided against it)

We have Bio-Ethics at our school, but I would have definitely sprung for Epidemiology. Why did you decide against it?
