<p>I am sophomore at California State University, I am really interested in pursuing a career in Law but I don't know what classes I should be taking or what major should i choose. Also there are MANY types of lawyers I want to know if anybody knows of a website to research the many type of lawyers there are to give me an idea of what i want</p>

<p>As has been mentioned here, there is no best pre-law program or courses. The goal is to choose what interests you and get good grades. Some peope recommend a course in Logic and Deduction and I agree this may be helpful on the LSAT. </p>
<p>As for the types of lawyers, the main types are as follows:</p>
<p>Criminal:no explanation required!
Corporate/Commercial/Tax/Securities/IP: i.e. Big firms, international financing deals, debt offerings etc.
General Law (family, personal injury, contract disputes etc,)</p>
