What do 800 scorers CR do when they get to a word they don't know

<p>What do they. I mean, you don't always know the words, right? What are good strategies when you don't know the word, you have 2-3 remaining options, and you pretty much don't have a clue.</p>

<p>a lot of the time, you can pick apart some of the words based on their latin and greek roots or because they are part of a paradigm</p>

<p>For myself, I have positive and negative emotional reactions to abstract concepts like words, numbers, colors, shapes, etc. and that helps me pick sometimes :p</p>

<p>I close my eyes and randomly picks a spot on the sheet. The finger closest to the option is the one I pick.</p>

<p>jk, just try to eliminate the words that definitely don't match in the context. i got 760 cr but everything right on sentence completion.</p>

<p>Anyway...do a search on google for latin and greek roots</p>

<p>yeah, the dictionary will definately help. Just try to cover around 50 pages per day and you will do fine</p>

<p>I tried eliminating words that I knew were definitely wrong. After those I would say the sentence in my mind and see which one sounded better...yeah, that worked for me</p>

<p>i get my cell phone out and go to dictionary.com while the lady isn't looking...</p>

<p>Both times there has been one word I had never seen before, but was able to know for sure I picked the right answer by eliminating obviously wrong choices using context clues. So, even if I didn't know the word in the question, I could figure out if the words in the answer choices worked.</p>

Why would a person with an 800 in CR even pay attention to CR. 800 is the max, right?</p>

Determine whether it sounds positive or negative.</p>
