what do i need to do to get into to dental school?

<p>One of my close family members is a dentist. The pre-requisites for admission to dental school are the same as for med school. In addition, they want psychology. Some of them encourage,but don't require art electives like sculpture. (they figure that carving on teeth is similar to sculpture). They also want people with good spacial perception, who can tell what things are going to look like if they are inverted, or rotated, etc.</p>

<p>As opposed to peer pressure? Which is what you are doing now by telling him to major in what he really likes. The OP just asked what he needed to do to prepare for dental school, and NOT whether he should follow the premed path. So you people should not try to convince him otherwise, and just answer his two questions!</p>

<p>lol Fisico is right, to the OP, I thought about doing sociology since it is ez as heck but I did some research on the subject and found it is not very practical... so sticking with your parent's idea and see how it goes i mean its never too late to change major if you don't like it after the first year</p>

<p>This just became a catch-22. Either way, sociology or dental, you lose. You will either succumb to parental pressure or peer pressure. LMFAO.</p>
