<p>Your sample examples are interesting but at Penn you don't call students by the school name but by the mascot.....Quaker. Same at Ohio=Buckeyes, Purdue=Boilermakers,Stanford=Trojans. UWisMad=Badgers...it is quite variable on this. I have only heard Northwester folks referred to as Wildcats.</p>
<p>I've heard Northwesterners too. (And I've heard Willardites for those who live in Willard.)</p>
<p>Oooh, I see. I was wondering if there were a widely used term that I could incorporate into my essay. "Wildcats I've met.." sounds kinda silly, haha. Maybe I should just say Northwestern students.</p>
