Anything besides getting drunk?

Not really.

I do some volunteering stuff, but other than that, I'm pretty booked.

I might be able to fit in some Guitar Hero here and there.

I watch sports, work out, woodwork, shop, read, and drive my car. Nothing too exciting. Not a drinker and not real into partying. Screw parties, give me time for deep conversations with friends instead.

hey, you can have deep conversation with friends AT parties... Other than party, I go out to dinner or coffee with friends, sometimes go for the day to new york or boston, etc...

Yeah, the parties I've been to I usually am with one or two other people and we're doing just that...but often we have to converse in a corner to get out of the way.

I also have this big fear of my car getting hit/vandalized by a drunk in the parking lot so I've avoided all college parties where alcohol is involved. (I could take the bus, but that would require a one mile or so hike from my house to a stop, and if I'm coming back dead tired at 3AM or so I'm NOT walking that far)

Sleeping, eating (making the trek to Chipotle or Starbucks on occasion), reading, talking, listening to music, the weekly tango lesson, random movie nights/dance parties on the floor, going out to parties (though I've lost my taste for it a bit), and frequenting to the secret bar in my dorm (that we're unfortunately losing b/c the guy is moving into his frat house).

But sleeping, eating, and talking take up a lot of time.

Practice guitar. Other than that...absolutely nothing.

Reading pulp fiction novels.

read a lot, eat a lot, run a lot, and watch mtv. i didn't have cable in high school, so i'm kind of going overboard with it now... watched the entire first season of beauty and the geek yesterday. what a fulfilled life i live.

Read, write, watch movies or tv shows. I've made a couple trips to nearby cites with friends. Usually when we go out it's to Malibu Yo (frozen yogurt), and probably a stop by Ralph's since it's close. There's really not much to do in Malibu, though the local movie theater finally just opened up again last week.

Not much, just chill. Hang out with friends, go see a movie, rent a movie, go to a play, dance (my friends and I are big swing dancers).... do whatever. Yeah, we party and drink too on the weekends sometimes.

i make RF projects in my leisure hours
By the way i am freshman

drinking and partying is pretty much all i do in my free time

workout, study, nap....

Free time?

working on getting better at chess, Wii, reading (esp. about history), working out, napping

playstation
music
pep band
tutoring at an elementary school
hang out with people
... etc?

playing guitar/writing riffs, playing/teaching myself piano, composing music (in Finale Notepad), recording and producing music that i or friends have written, going to shows/concerts, exploring the Greater Los Angeles area, taking pictures around campus, play squash with friends and yes...party quite a bit on weekends.

Just curious, whats the music scene like in/around LA?

well, i haven't had time to just go out to clubs like the Echo to check out local acts, so i can't say a whole lot about the local bands. but...it being LA, there's been quite a few "big" acts to come down. the big shows i can remember since i've been in school, about 3 months:

Gorilla Biscuits: 80s NY hardcore (punk)
Radio Birdman: godfathers of 70s Aussie garage punk
TV on the Radio with Massive Attack
Tenacious D
The Damned: 70s UK punk legends

and innumerable weekly shows at the coffee shop/small venue on campus from local indie bands, or indie bands in general (some from out of state). having the coffee shop right beneath my window makes me so happy.

i guess i can comment on that...some of the alternative acts are definitely great, one notable was headed by a former writing professor at USC. we've also gotten a few really good alt-progressive (in a good way) bands. otherwise, a lot of bands are the run-of-the-mill pop-rock (i.e. "emo") bands.

and lets not forget...i've been to maybe 8 to 10 classical concerts put on by our school (with one at Walt Disney Concert Hall), which is no small feat considering our program is considered among the best in the nation.
