Lehigh seems great, but I just can't get over the bland Brown and White colors. How do you guys feel when you're rocking a brown sweater around? lmaoo

I got one that’s worse: RIT’s orange and brown!!!

Hey preprum1216,

I always like the brown and white color scheme. A nice neutral set of colors like that looks good and goes with everything.

I like Lehigh’s colors a lot more than Lafayette and Colgate’s bizarre maroon color or Holy Cross’s effeminate purple. Just saying.

Best,

I went from hating the colors, to tolerating them. They have now grown on me a little bit and a like them a little, but still, sometimes I envy the blue and maize, or the blue and red, etc. I just can’t picture myself walking down the street proudly wearing a brown Lehigh sweater. haha

LehighChemE, how about Bucknell’s orange and bright blue?

Yeah, good point, deb922 - I forgot about our old Patriot League rival. I was also thinking about American University’s red, white, and blue - a little overboard I think.

This is turning into a bashing thread. Bottom line, Lehigh’s colors are great.

Best,

Vistited Lehigh yesterday and about 3/4 of the way through the tour, I mentioned to my son how my high school’s colors were brown and gold, then I went to Brown (can’t get any more brown than that!), so that it would be if he had brown and white. His answer was, “Is Lehigh’s color red?” And this is a kid who will be going to college as an engineer in less than a year and a half?? Actually, I think that since all the kids in the posters are wearing brown instead of something like orange, the colors don’t stand out. And brown is a very popular, stylish color nowadays! And the reason he mentioned red is because we had looked at 6 schools before Lehigh, ALL with red as their color!

After our tour, we went up to the tennis courts and were watching the women’s Patriots tournament. I saw the purple of Holy Cross, the very orange Bucknell, and the boring black of LaFayette (couldn’t tell what the other color was).
