What do you guys think I should write about?

<p>Ok so my SAT's are not the best so I'm going to try to impress Syracuse and American University with a good essay.</p>

<p>I really want to write about something original, but i can't come up with anything.</p>

<p>I was thinking of writing about my grandmother who had Lou Gerigs Disease (ALS) and how she had an influence on me before she passed away.</p>

<p>Or about growing up in a family with 4 sisters and 1 brother.</p>

<p>I also thought about writing about my experience in my High School Musicals.</p>

<p>How do these to ideas sound? Or should i come up with something more original?</p>

<p>Kyle33, choose a topic you are truly passionate about, and at the same time make sure that your resume supports your topic.</p>

<p>Grandmother essay is something every admissions office suggests that you stay away from, unless there is something truly profound about YOU. Otherwise, they will be inclined to admit your grandmother and reject you.</p>

<p>Ditto about the boy growing up with 4 sisters. Old and tired...</p>

<p>High-school musicals is the best of the three, though it could be tough to relate to you. Better yet, ask yourself - if I could do anything for a while, what would it be - then write about it, explain why.</p>
