What do you guys think this means?

Do you think this means anything?

Today I received an email from the admissions office about my financial aid profile. They said that there was one part I answered incorrectly/they needed more information about. They asked me to upload and send them some updated financial aid data.

I mean, I would think if they were planning on rejecting me, then they wouldn't care if I screwed up a little section on the financial aid profile? Right? And, I mean they're telling me now....? Monday the 23rd of March.

What do you guys think? Anyone else get an email from the admissions office regarding financial aid?

I dont think that the admissions office and financial aid office work together.

yea, I didn’t think so either. But I received the email from the admissions office. like the “andrew” one I believe…

Actually, I think they might, because I had to mail the financial aid page to the admissions office…

Was it specific to your financial situation? Then, it could/might mean something hopefully. Good luck!

Well I had mailed it first, and then they asked me to do the online one also. They said it was easier for them to upload onto my status account page that way.

And yes, it was specific to my financial situation. Well it was specific to my profile I submitted. There was a certain section on it that they wanted me to clarify further.

of course this is a need-blind school…right?/

um no…cmu is need-based i thought

It means nothing. The admissions and financial offices do not affect each other in terms of admission/financial aid. If the admissions office thinks you have the ability to do the work + leadership and all that other good stuff, you’ll be expected. At the same time, regardless of whether you’re admitted, the financial aid office will look at your situation and determine if you need help (ie, your EFC is below the tuition.)

alright, thank you all.
