What do you guys think?

I'm taking a year to just volunteer before I go off to college, is this standing out or just regular? a 19 year old with these credentials by the fall of 2006:

1 hospital= 1000 hours

2 hospital= 56 hours

3 hospital= 37 hours

volunteer on thanksgiving(nursing home)=2 hours
volunteer on christmas(kitchen)=2 hours
meals on wheels=16 hours
American heart association=16 hours
american cancer society=20 hours
lung cancer associaton=20 hours
local daycare(children)=20 hours
alzheimers association=12 hours
diabetes association=12 hours
local library=20 hours
american red cross=50 hours
kidney association=12 hours

Im going to add on to volunteering throughout my college years plus i'll be joining clubs? what do you guys think, will I be a regular applicant to medical college with these credentials plus im going to be adding on? or will I be a overacheiver an applicant that stands out?

Read my previous post, quality and experience matters more then number of hours and places. This would make you look suspicious to medical schools, almost as if you were trying to prove something to them. In some cases it could be good, in other cases they would wonder about committment and why you couldn't get 1 or 2 good experiences but had to go to 10 different places, as opposed to most peoples 1 or 2.

You will stand out just like someone who gets 2 publications will stand out or someone who's the president of 3 clubs will stand out. It's something good to do but it's not a golden ticket to med school and will not make up for subpar GPA's and MCAT scores.
