What do you remember about 8th grade?

Tell me now. :)

Too much drama... there was a school dance and three of my girlfriends got suspended for writing "You SUCK!" on a girl's locker mirror with lipgloss.

Oh, and I started going out with my current boyfriend :)
First kiss!!

Edit: I also had a horrible social teacher. My parents made her cry at interviews.

somebody telling me he hated me because i was "too smart"
middle school was the darkest years of my life.

oh yeah, i went to taiwan.

I got 10 hours of sleep a night :D

haha gxing, no kidding

also, being driven around by my parents

I slept through Earth Science (I seriously slept for the entire duration of the class. I even remember finding saliva on the desk when I woke up.) and still got a 100 in the class.

Actually, it was over a 100 since I kept getting 103, 102 on the tests. It wasn't even like I was good at it either. I seriously had no idea how to tell the signs on the weather. You ask me today and I still wouldn't know.

Let's see. I finally got rid my glasses (contacts) and braces (after 4 years). I was the smartest kid in my grade (out of 50) and one of the top athletes. Made the league all star team in soccer and baseball (was best pitcher and hitter on the team) - we made the playoffs in both that year too (won our baseball division, beat the #1 team in soccer). I had a huge crush on the most popular girl in school (she had one on me too - ::smug::).

8th grade was the only year of middle school where I enjoyed life.

Commuting to the local high school at 6:45 in the morning to take math. (those of us who did so were not eligible for a math "student of the year" award...)

I went to Hayfield Secondary in eigth grade... so let's see...

I remember some incredibly stupid girl reporting me to the counselor for "trying to kill her" (We got in a silly argument over something about an apple, and I said "yeah, like I'd really kill you with a butter knife", she missed the obvious sarcasm, and thought I was going to butter her to death)

I also remember that I failed a core class, and still got passed.

I remember thinking my pre-algebra teacher was gay.
And my PE teacher.
And my civ. teacher.

And I read the book "(somebody)'s quilt" a million times from the school library.

And I was terrified of the high school side.

And that was when Remember THE Titans came out in theaters, and Hayfield was booing the movie during the screening at our school. (Hayfield was the opposing "racist" school in Remember the titans against TC Williams.... even though Hayfield integrated before they did)

Oh by the way: TC WILLIAMS SUCKS!
School pride :)

Seeing as how I'm a freshman...this is easy:

My best friend completely deserted me to hang out with b****** and I went home depressed every day because she was so terrible to me.
My Chemistry teacher accused me of plagiarizing twice.
I had a supporting lead in the school musical, made second chair flute in band, and sang in two choruses. The musical was probably the most fun I will ever have with a show in my entire life.
Made an honors chorus for the third year in a row.
Had the most amazing advisor on earth.
Injured my back when I was forced to join the gymnastics team.
Had a terrible season in softball.
Broke my toe.
Went to Europe for the first time.
It was a mix of good and bad...I'm so happy I graduated though.

The agony of not having tracked classes
Having to do projects with lazy people who don't contribute
Having a mutual crush for once
Had the most amazing history teacher

Overall, I wouldn't want to live through it again.

I remember going to the stupid pep rally where us "cool" 8th graders would say "You wish you were an 8th grader."

dark times, dark times, possibly the worst yr that i've had in school, i don't every want to see any of them again, but yet some of my old classmates go to my high school, so i didn't like it, for the people, but the classes were so easy that's what i truly miss

Hhhmmm horrible 8th grade year...

New Kid at school

The only Asian

Teacher's Pet

Unpopular One for the stupidest reason

Got into the highschool of my first choice

Was told that I was going to Hell by my religious Catholic Friend

:) The sums it up.

oooh 8th Grade:

-I was the new girl
-I dated the most popular guy in school
-I dated the nerdiest kid in school
-I was branded a slut
-I graduated as Valedictorian

8th grade:
- my moody year...
- disliked my Earth Science teacher
- hated Earth Science
- disliked most of the kids at school
- so glad to leave it behind and head to high school
- the only positive things were that I was alive, had my health, and my family

8th grade sucked.

I remember I had two really awesome friends who I hung out a bunch with, and not much else. Anyways, things I remember:
-Hanging out a bunch with this girl who's now ridiculously hot and I was too stupid to realize liked me at the time
-Sneaking out of the graduation dance to pee on my tech teacher's door, and later getting kicked out for burning down the crepe paper on the ceiling with my friends
-Playing a lot of Halo
-Starting to get a life
-Making fun of my Math teacher with some friends for being a hick and because the Dolphins sucks (she was cool though)

hmmm i did some pretty stupid stuff in 8th grade lol

I had some pretty memorable teachers in 8th grade:

Math: A witch teacher
Social Studies: The coolest teacher ever - ate in his class and watched videos, yet I learned more in that classes than in some AP classes I took in high school
English: Kinda slutty teacher who had an affair with another teacher in the same department =D
Art: The nicest teacher ever. The most laid back class too.

All I remember from 8th grade was that I:

-Was known as the perv (I'd laugh everytime the Earth Science teacher mentioned cleavage or crossbedding)
-Was still limping from elementary school nerdism
-Played counterstrike
-Ate 2 hero sandwiches at the graduation party
-Had no idea what an SAT was (ahhh.....bliss)
Or what an AP test or class was either

-Generally did not care about school that much..

Don't remember all THAT much.

-Had a 2 hour commute every morning.
-School was ridiculously easy.
-Had a lot of sleepovers and parties.
-Like above, had NO clue what AP was.
-Missed nearly 20 CR questions in a practice SAT I took.
-Got to know some of the best teachers in my life.
-Chatted on msn/phone for 3 hours every night.
-Had too much time to kill.

I wish there was a time-conserving mechanism or something to "re-use" all that time I wasted in eighth grade. =p
