What do you think my chances are for early decision?

<p>I know that I'll be finding out soon whether or not I got in, but I'm interested to see what you guys think my chances are.</p>

<p>30 ACT
3.8 unweighted GPA
3rd in a class of 33
My current course load: Calculus, English IV, consumer's education (a required class at my high school), Intro to Psych (an online college class), American History to 1877 (a community college class), and American Politics and Government (also a community college class) I have straight A's right now.
My school doesn't offer an AP classes, so I'm taking college classes instead.
I am the captain of my school's dance team, I organize my school's participation in GLSEN's Annual Day of Silence, I sell RedThread Bracelets, I volunteer at BirthRight, I sing in my high school's regular chorus and select girls' chorus.
I've been accepted at Saint Louis University already with the same application as the one I sent to Wash U, so I think that that means that my essay was pretty strong.
Anyways, I'm a little worried because I'm not in any AP classes, but obviously they were never an option for me to take and I feel like I've done the best with what I had to work with.</p>

<p>Well, ACT is a bit low for WashU. I wouldn’t worry about strength of schedule - if no APs are offered, and you take college courses instead, that’s as good as everyone else. I’m not really seeing any common theme among your ECs; from what you’ve listed, it isn’t obvious that there’s something you’re really passionate about.</p>

<p>To be honest, I don’t think you have a great shot at getting in. Now if your recs or essays or unlisted ECs are fantastic, then you have a slightly better shot, but not too many students with a 30 on the ACT are accepted. ED helps, as well as you showing interest with the interview, so it’s always possible that you’re accepted. Whatever the outcome, at least you’ll know soon.</p>

<p>Thanks. I’ve been dancing my whole life, so I’d say that that’s what I’m passionate about. And a lot of my extracurricular activities are service oriented (they do have something in common even though they aren’t the exact same activities). Anyways, thank you. Do you think it makes a difference that I was able to have a meeting with Joan Downey?</p>
